My Para Body Journey

MARCH 16TH 2015

Today marks a new journey for me this year, ONE THAT I AM EXCITED AND SCARED ABOUT.

I have so many ideas, plans and goals inside my head I just can't sleep my brain just keeps going and going.

So where do I start.........

Well I have a couple of really big things happening at the moment. I have just been given the privilege of being a fundraiser for two reasons very close to my heart.

1. Mates4Mates- my brothers and sisters from the military. I served with the mighty 3rd Battalion as a paratrooper I would've but I never got to serve with them overseas, so I have chosen to raise money for this great cause which helps soldiers who are injured from their service.

2. TEAM COUCH: I am as of today in training for my very first Half Ironman which is being held in Cairns, Australia. I am their only para-athlete and am extremely honoured they have allowed me to join them we are raising money for the Cairns Hospital Cancer ward.

The Ironman is in June and then I head straight into training, to aim for the Gold Coast Marathon which I did last year in 2hrs and 13mins, so I want to be able this year to do the Marathon in 2hrs or less.

The Ironman, really I am not setting any goal for it I have never done this course nor have I ever done this distance so I just really want to finish it.

So, I am on a complete body transformation until my birthday which is July the 10th, and the weekend after the Gold Coast Marathon. That weekend I am meeting up with friends from the Military, friends I have caught up individually with over the years but have not hooked up altogether  since 1996 the year three out of the four of us, got out of the Army, one guy is still serving and this is his last year of service, all of us from 3RAR.

They are my personal goals, I have started my own personal health business a business which is not just about losing weight. My business is all about personal development, it is designed to get you moving, help you get happier, help you get financially free, hook you up with thousands of people of the same mind..

I want to be able to help young aboriginal kids. I had a best mate I went through the first part of my military service with who was aboriginal and we are still best friends. My younger brother who died in 1996 who was basically adopted by the local aboriginal people in Victoria, he was very well liked and looked after by them so I guess I always have had a soft spot for the locals.

My mate made a statement which rung in my ears, these kids look skinny and healthy but they are far from it. Jeff had noticed by feeding the kids meals each day while at school there was a huge difference in them when they had a full belly. I was not really listening at the time although I heard him.The kids concentration and behavioural problems all started to diminish.

Once I had left the school I thought I have this amazing health product how can I not share it with them, it will truly changed their lives.

So my goal is to help as many kids in my lifetime as I can receive the best nutrition they can. It saddens my soul that so many kids are suffering from all races all over Australia and World when we have the ability to help the next generation in a positive way so why I aren't I doing my bit..

So tomorrow I will start to share the story of my life.

So much more to blog about tomorrow. It will be exciting specially some of the winter sports conversation.

Signing off for now
